The annual “What Were You Wearing” art showcase along with client and local artist artwork and the opportunity to share experiences and speak out against sexual assault is happening Friday, April 5 at the CREATE Gallery in Catskill.
The “What Were You Wearing?” exhibit dispels a victim-blaming myth that clothing somehow invites sexual assault. Survivors of rape/sexual assault are often asked, “What were you wearing?” We invite you to view the exhibit that depicts the clothing worn by survivors of rape or sexual assault along with their story to give a voice to the voiceless and help raise awareness that sexual violence is not ok.
