About the event
Join our REACH Center at Columbia-Greene Community College for a Resource Fair for National Crime Victims' Rights Week and Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Stop by for resources, information, and interactive projects.
The Clothesline Project is a visual representation of the interpersonal violence within our community. For those affected by violence, decorating a t-shirt is a means of expressing emotion, telling a story, and giving a voice to the voiceless. The shirts that will be hung throughout the student center throughout the week and on the day of this resource fair are all made by a survivor of violence in Columbia or Greene.
Shirt colors represent different forms of abuse experienced:
White - Honoring someone who died because of violence
Yellow - Survivors of physical assault or domestic violence
Red/Pink/Orange - Survivors of rape or sexual assault
