I am writing to ask for your support for an organization I am passionate about, and proud of: The Mental Health Association of Columbia-Greene Counties, Inc.  The Association has been in the community for 51 years, providing hope and dignity for our loved ones and neighbors who are affected by mental illness, emotional disturbance, and economic disadvantage.  Last year alone the agency served 1,000 individuals and families within the bi-county area.  We are an essential community service.

The services we provide create opportunities for individuals and families by assisting and supporting them in living healthy, productive lives with greater independence.  We help people to find jobs, attend school, live successfully in the community, and form healthy family relationships. 

Today’s economic uncertainty results in both decreased funding for our programs and increased community needs.  Still, our mission remains the same: to provide education and advocacy, and to create opportunities that enhance the mental health and well being of individuals, families, and communities.
